Black Bittern at Upper Lockyer 11/09/10
A Black Bittern seen by myself and Rod Hobson late yesterday afternoon was not only new for Spring but also new for "Tiddalac".
Between Rod and I we picked up the following additions for Spring including our first Channel-bill and Koel for the season. Also saw my first Leaden Flycatcher this season.
Little Pied Cormorant - farm dam, near Lockyer Siding turnoff
Black Bittern - flushed one along creek; new bird for "Tiddalac"
Eastern Koel - first this season
Channel-billed Cuckoo - first this season
Pheasant Coucal
White-browed Scrubwren
Speckled Warbler
White-throated Gerygone
Buff-rumped Thornbill
Striated Thornbill
Striped Honeyeater
Lewin's Honeyeater
Brown-headed Honeyeater
Rufous Whistler
Grey Fantail
Silvereye
Regards
Mick
