Sugar Glider

It's not their fault they don't have feathers! Doesn't make them any less interesting. And just like the birds, it's good to know what species are about locally at any given time.

There's expertise within the club and beyond on most aspects of our local fauna. Let's tap into it.

Sugar Glider

Post by Barb Learmonth »

While walking our pooch I saw a dead (unfortunately) sugar glider in Neilsen Park off Rowbotham st Middle Ridge on Monday 13th Aug. I wonder if it came down in the heavy winds as there were lots of branches down in the Park. I had never seen a sugar glider in the wild before.Took some photos if anyone is interested.

I'd certainly be interested; have never seen one in the wild either!

I guess they could meet their demise in heavy winds. Will ask local carer Trish LeeHong if she gets injured ones as a result of similar circumstances.

Thanks for the record.

Cheers
Mick
