Common Blackbirds at Highfields (Pat McConnell)

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Sorry for not posting this email of Pat's sooner:
Hello everyone. After an absence of about six months an immature male Blackbird (all black except for some brown in the wings) turned up in our backyard on Wednesday 11 October. This was joined yesterday (15 October) by another male. Both very vocal at the moment. Our first Dollarbird for the season turned up yesterday. All other migrants have been back for a while.

Regards

Pat
Is this a species we want taking over Highfields too? I'm sure the local wine industry can do without this additional pest for starters.

Let's take action before it's too late.
