Bush Stone-Curlew

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Toowoomba's lonesome stone-curlew was still there in the yard of the home on the corner of Boundary Rd and Beacon Crt yesterday arvo (4/7).

A nice way to round off a 6-day trip to SW Qld with my father. We didn't see of this species out west and, as dad wasn't privy to this local one, I just couldn't resist taking a slight detour home to "discover" one more for the trip tally.

More birds from our trip to follow... Watch this space.
