Only 1 day left!

Some relatively easy ones are proving difficult e.g. Black Kite, Whistling Kite, Western Gerygone, White-bellied Cuckoo-Shrike. Unfortuantely, the Western Gerygones may have come and gone.

Suggested sites to try: Wetalla STP (Black Kite), Helidon (Whistling Kite), Lockyer Siding Rd & Airforce Rd, Helidon (Western Gerygone, White-bellied Cuckoo-Shrike).

Heard the southern boobook last night in Niddrie
drive Middle Ridge after a great day bird observing in our garden.

We had a black-faced cuckoo shrike,Lewins honeyeaters,Grey shrike-thrush, figbirds, satin bowerbirds (lots), regent bowerbird (immature) pale headed rosellas, noisy miners, spotted turtle dove, King parrots, rose robin, scaly breasted lorikeets and a peewee.
However best of all we have a pair of spotted pardalotes which may be starting to nest as they were collecting fine strips of fibrous bark. Unfortunately I only managed a long distance photo which is a bit blurry when zoomed on the computer. Also a wedge-tailed eagle flew above the garden too.
