Reappearance in Hinton St, Wilsonton

Post by Mick Atzeni »

A blackbird singing daily around 5am each morning at 11 Hinton St, Wilsonton, according to the owners. This is the address next to Rod Hultgren who has reported several blackbirds bare-earthing his roses in the past.

Update

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Checked with Rod Hultgren today after I saw a male blackbird a couple of blocks away from Rod's place in Tara St. Rod informs me he hasn't had any blackbirds in his garden for a long time. Makes me think the Wilsonton population, if anything, has declined.

A coordinated Wilsonton survey early morning would at least reveal how many calling males are around. If anyone's interested in helping, give me a call.

Cheers
Mick
