Also this Topknot report from Pat McConnell 16/12:
Stopped in to do some birding along Prince Henry Drive this morning on the way to work. The cicadas were deafening even by 7.00am and I could not hear a single bird call but there were lots of Topknot Pigeons flying about, one flock of about 40, another of about 12 and lots of individual birds. The figs are fruiting so it may be a good place to check out over the next couple of weeks if you are in the area. Probably first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon when hopefully the cicadas are a little more quiet.
Cheers
Mick

Topknot Pigeons in Rangeville

Post by Rod Hobson »

Folks,

I also saw Topknots this month, a flock of about 15-20 birds over Rangeville State School in South Street yesterday morning about 8.30 am. Flock flying high and towards the south-east.

Regards,
Rod Hobson
