Southern Boobook nesting (?), Queens Park
Southern Boobook sitting on edge of a hollow in camphor laurel in Queen's Park very close to the western end of the Botanical Gardens Christmas lights "spectacular", calling with a low, constant, fast "oom" sound (no, definitely not a tawny frogmouth). Could be nesting there by the look? Lots of people and lights and movement about. 8pm. 18/12/2011
