Blue Bonnet

Provided flooding rains don't spoil the party again, only slackness will prevent us nailing 230+ species this year.

Folks

Just passing on this news from Pat McConnell:

Subject: Blue Bonnet

Hello everyone. Just letting you know that I saw two Blue Bonnets along the Old Goombungee Road this morning (just on the Highfields side of Highfields Mountain Pet Resort. I also saw 30+ Apostlebirds on the corner of Old Goombungee Road and Cawdor Drive. The Square-tailed Kite has also been around a lot.

Regards

Pat
Pat also saw the Blue Bonnets - three this time - in the same location this morning.

An interesting record; I think the most easterly one so far in the local area, not counting the pair seen at Iredale, south of Helidon, a few years ago which were probably escapees.

Cheers
Mick
